Internet gives you many opportunities to start a business and earn some extra money. If you set things correctly, you can not have the side that will put a little bit of extra cash in your pocket all the work, you can get full-time work that will quickly exceed the amount of money that you're making in your business. Of course, it does not require you to approach it in the right way and you treat it like a business, from start to finish. That being said, here are some tips to avoid getting scammed by online business:
1- Don’t reply to messages asking for personal or financial information.
It does not matter whether the message was coming as an email, phone call, text message, or a declaration. Do not click on links or telephone numbers included in the message, either. It's called phishing. Crooks and tries behind these messages to trick you into revealing sensitive information. If you got a message like this and you are concerned about your account status, call the number on your credit or debit card - or your statement - and check on it.
2- Don’t send money to someone you don’t know.
Any online seller that you never heard of . The best way is to to deal with sites that you know and trust. If you are going to buy something online, it's better to use a payment option that provides protection like a Credit Card, or Paypal method which is way better and safer.
If you think that you have found a good deal, but you are not sure about the company, make a research about it. check the company name, the product name in the search engine under the title of "product name" review , scams ,or complains, and see what comes up on the first and later pages of the results.
Never pay anything for a promise of a big pay-off-later. Whether, it's for a loan, a job, a grant or a so called prize, or a product that you need to use to start your online job.
3-Don’t agree to deposit a check and wire money back.
No matter how convincing the story is, If the company over payed you with a check, you can most certainly tell it's scam because. By law, banks make funds from deposited checks available within days, but figuring out a check that is fake may take weeks. If the check turned out to be fake, you are responsible for paying the bank back.
4-Don’t play a foreign lottery.
Avoid messages that claim you have won. In fact, foreign lottery is illegal, but still messages that keep sending you this might be tempting. However, inevitably, you have to pay fees, taxes, or custom duties to collect your prize. This way you won't win anything. You won't get your money back either, regardless of promises or guarantees.
5- Don't be fooled by false promises.
it's unlikely you will make 700$/a day just for placing ads or viewing them, on google. If it's too good to be true, chances are it might be not.
